Ellen K. Philbin

Executive Director

Responsible for the overall administration of the Cambridge Retirement System, including private retirement counseling sessions, employer group retirement education seminars, annual reporting to local, state and federal agencies, assist in the processing of all accidental, ordinary disability and surivor/beneficiary benefits. Responsible for the oversight of general investment practices, management and performance.  Responsible for the implementation of M.G.L. c. 32 and 840 CMR Rules & Regulations.

Chris Burns

Deputy Executive Director

Assists in the day to day questions on membership, refunds and retirements. Responsible for the minutes of general Board meetings, makes appointments for retirement counseling and acts as general office manager.

Eileen M. Hayes

Retiree Coordinator

Responsible for the monthly processing of pension payments, federal tax withholding, monthly direct deposit procedure and beneficiary payments. Annual cost of living adjustment approved by the Board.

Hanh T. Tran

Accountant

Responsible for the monthly accounting of all financial transactions including: trial balance, calculation of refunds, posting of members contributions and monthly financial reporting to PERAC.

Cecilia M. Stevens

System Technician

Answers all general calls concerning membership and directs calls to other particular retirement staff.

Christopher McLaughlin

Member Services Coordinator

Responsible for enrollment information of all new members, updating members accounts with changes to address, marital status, etc., posting of contributions and makeup payments.

James H. Quirk, Esq.

Acting as Attorney for the Cambridge Retirement Board in general matters of administration for the Cambridge Retirement System. Attorney Quirk´s 27 years of municipal experience defines his expertise.
